Megan Day and Jason are the pitmasters behind the professional barbecue team Burnt Finger BBQ. Since its founding in 2008, Burnt Finger BBQ has racked up countless awards on the competition barbecue circuit, including numerous State Championships, 1st place chicken at the prestigious American Royal World Series of Barbecue, and 2nd in Ribs at Memphis in May.

Megan was the darling of Food Network’s Chopped Grill Masters Season 4 by winning her episode and is currently completing in Season 2 of Food Network’s BBQ Brawl.

Jason and Megan are regularly seen promoting barbecue on local and national television, including appearances on Fox & Friends, CNN, TODAY Show, Food Network, Cooking Channel, and many more.

Their most recent feature is in “Smoke & Ribbons: A DocQmentary”, a film released through Amazon Prime Video (now available on all Amazon streaming services). The hour-long documentary follows the journey of two Kansas City-based BBQ teams as they compete in American Royal World Series of BBQ in back-to-back years.

When not touring the pro barbecue circuit, Megan spends her time teaching, consulting, and promoting their line of authentic Kansas City style barbecue products.
