Christmas Brisket Beans

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Vegetable Oil
  • ½ cup Table Salt
  • 2 TBSP Grinded Pepper
  • ¼ cup Garlic Powder
  • ¼ cup Onion Powder
  • ½ of Whole Onion
  • 1qt Brisket Trim
  • 14 cups of Mayocoba Beans (wash beans several times before use)
  • Cilantro (for garnish)
  • Diced tomatoes (for garnish)
  • Cotija cheese  (for garnish)

Equipment & Fuel

Directions

  1. Add 12 qt’s of water to a large pot. Bring to boil over Royal Oak Charcoal.
  2. Add ingredients listed below in boiling water.
    1. ½ cup Vegetable Oil
    2. ½ cup Table Salt
    3. 2 TBSP Grinded Pepper
    4. ¼ cup Garlic Powder
    5. ¼ cup Onion Powder
    6. ½ of Whole Onion
    7. 1qt Brisket Trim
    8. 14 cups of Mayocoba Beans (wash beans several times before placing them in boiling water)
  3. Allow beans to boil until beans are soft and done. Then remove from grill.
  4. Serve beans in a bowl and garnish with cilantro, diced tomatoes, and a sprinkle of cotija cheese.
