How To: Grill Beer Brats
How To Grill Beer Brats
- Light the charcoal and spread it evenly across the bottom of one-half of the grill.
- Preheat the grill to medium-low heat, between 300 and 350°F. This will help cook the brats evenly without burning them.
- Place the brats on the grill grates directly over the charcoal.
- Cook the brats for about 10 minutes, flipping them every 5 minutes. You can also use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the brats. They should be cooked to at least 140-150°F internal.
- Cut up bell peppers with some onion and place in an aluminum half pan. Empty 2 beers in the pan with the brats and peppers cover and let simmer for up to 30 minutes or until the peppers and onions are soft.
- Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy.
