How To: Grill Chicken Wings
How To Grill Chicken Wings
- Pat the chicken wings dry and season them with your favorite dry rub or marinade.
- Light the charcoal and wait for it to turn gray. Spread the coals out in an even layer, and oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F.
- Place the chicken wings on the grill grates directly over the charcoal.
- Cook the wings for about 15-20 minutes, flipping them every 5 minutes. You can also use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the wings. They should be cooked to at least 165°F. Pro tip: Place wings in a pan and cover with foil and steam for 15-20 minutes to make the wings more tender. Take the wings out of the pan and allow the sauce to caramelize on the wings.
- Allow the wings to rest for five minutes before serving.
- Once the wings are cooked to your desired level of doneness, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy.
